Everyday smoothies

There are many reasons why people decide to detox this time of year. Loosing few pounds, cleansing after overindulgence, gaining more energy and vitality...etc.
For me start of new year is the time to press the reset button. I have no power, my mind is foggy and sugar habbits gotten out of control.
So my New Years resolution is to eat more nutrient fruits and vegetables and less sugar, meat and drink less coffe :) Today I'm showing you two easy smoothies to help you start your day. Hope you gonna like it!

Strawberry smoothie
serves 4
serves 4
INGREDIENTS:
60g gluten free oats
1 tbsp desiccated coconut
40g chopped almonds
1tbsp ground flaxseed
1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
400g fresh or frozen strawberries
juice of 2 limes
500ml almond milk
1 tbsp desiccated coconut

DIRECTIONS:
1. On a non-stick pan toast oats and almonds for 2-3 minutes
2. Pour milk into blender and add flaxseed, cinnamon, strawberries, lime juice and blend until smooth
3. Add 6 tbsp of toasted oats, almonds and desiccated coconut into the mixture and blend again
4. Pour into glasses and top with a spoonfull of the oats mixture.
Banana & kiwi smoothie
serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
6 kiwis
1avocado
2tbsp maple syrup
2 large bananas, sliced and frozen
1 glass almond milk
1/2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
DIRECTIONS:
1. In one container, blend in bananas milk and cocoa
2. In second container blend kiwis, avocado and maple syrop
3. Pour in banana smoothie into a tall glass, than pour kiwi smoothie on top and decorate with leftover kiwis and cocoa nibs.
