Healthy Snickers bars
written by Agata
Here's another recipe for homemade chocolate bars. After great success of Homemade Bounty bars I decided to make healthy version of Snickers.
It's great to have some healthy snacks in your freezer, so you can pick them up whenever you crave something sweet. Well... it's bit dangerous too, because you have to stop yourself from eating more than one ;) Don't get scared by looking at ingredients list, it only looks like it's extremely difficult. The hardest part for me was washing food processor container four times! But everything else is oh! so easy. If you have all ingredients ready, everything will take you about half an hour. So don't discourage yourself and make some healthy Snickers.

1/4 cup chia seeds
Almond layer
2 cup almond flour
1/3 cup almond milk
1/3 cup honey
Caramel layer
2 cups pitted dates
1/2 salted peanuts
2-3 tbsp water
pinch of salt
Chocolate
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cacao powder
1/3 cup honey
DIRECTIONS:
1. Line square baking pan with parchment paper and set aside
2. Place all crust ingredients in food processor and pulse until combined, than move the mixture into your prepared baking pan and press down with your fingers
3. Place almond layer ingredients in the food processor and pulse until combined, mixture will be bit sticky. Layer it over crust mixture
4. Pulse carmel ingredients in food processor until smooth, than add peanuts and spread the caramel over almond layer
5. Melt chocolate ingredients in a small pan and stir until well combined, spred this mixture over caramel layer
6. Cover and freeze until set, about 3-4 hours
7. Take Snickers out of the baking pan and cut into squares, store in the freezer.
Enjoy!
